OUR JOURNEY
Bradhasworked on Formula 260 Speedcars from the age of 16, working underneath his family home. A boiler maker by trade, he turned his passion into purpose and started BHR Fabrications as a sole trader in 2001. From the outset, Brad’s ability to repair, modify, and fabricate new chassis and parts has set him apart from the competition.
BHR Fabrications' DNA dates back to the 1940s, when Brad Hilder's grandfather, Bill McFarlane, raced speedcars alongside the likes of Sir Jack Brabham. Bill's speedway legacy is well documented, including his contribution as track curator for the Ekka Speedway (Brisbane Exhibition Speedway) for many years.
Carrying on the racing genes, Brad's father, Robin Hilder, became the first Queensland speedcar driver to race a car that featured an overhead roll-cage in 1971 – forever influencing safety requirements in the class. That love for speedway racing carried through to Brad, who jumped in his first race care at 21. Despite the 'late' start to his racing career, he went on to achieve multiple state titles and race in multiple classes.

In 2014, mutual colleagues in John Weatherald and Mark Badock opened the door for a long-standing relationship between BHR and Triple X, bridging the gap between American and Australian Sprint Car markets.

We sell Triple X chassis exclusively, with all modifications and driver preferences fabricated in-house at our workshop.
